Dr. Jeffrey Hudson, MD

OPHTHALMOLOGIST

Jeffrey D. Hudson is a board certified ophthalmologist who graduated summa
cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Minnesota State University in
Moorhead, Minnesota. After receiving a medical degree from the Indiana University
School of Medicine in 2000, he completed an internship at Resurrection Medical Center
in Chicago and an ophthalmology residency at the IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

At Ophthalmology Consultants of Fort Wayne, Dr. Hudson cares for patients with
diabetic eye conditions and glaucoma and has a special interest in cataract surgery.

A member of the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology, American Academy of
Ophthalmology and the Fort Wayne Medical Society, Dr Hudson is committed to state of
the art eye care.

Dr. Hudson enjoys many activities including basketball, cycling, running and
attending sporting events. He and his wife, Stacey, enjoy spending time with their three
children

Dr. Brian Miller, MD

OPHTHALMOLOGIST

Brian C. Miller, M.D., completed his undergraduate training at Wabash College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology. He then attended Indiana University where he completed a Masters Degree in Cellular and Molecular Physiology. Dr. Miller then obtained his Medical Degree at Indiana University School of Medicine. Following an intern year at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Dr. Miller completed his ophthalmology residency training at Indiana University Glick Eye Institute. He joined Ophthalmology Consultants in August of 2013.

As a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Miller performs routine eye exams and specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide variety of eye diseases including diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, uveitis, strabismus, and cornea problems.

Dr. Miller’s interests include music, hiking, canoeing and spending time with his wife and three children.

Dr. Dawn Fredrickson, OD

OPTOMETRIST

Dawn Frederickson, O.D. is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1993. In 1994, Dr. Frederickson completed a residency in Ocular Disease after which she moved to Ft. Wayne and has been providing eye care in both private practice and in association with ophthalmologists ever since.

Dr. Frederickson joined the staff at Ophthalmology Consultants in 2003 and divides her time between providing preoperative and postoperative care for cataract surgery patients.

Dr. Julie Manry, OD

OPTOMETRIST

Julie Manry, O.D. is a life-long Indiana resident. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from IPFW in 1994, then graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1998 with her Doctor of Optometry degree. She has practiced primary care optometry in both Marion and Huntington, Indiana prior to joining the staff at Ophthalmology Consultants in 2012.

Dr. Manry divides her time between providing postoperative care for cataract surgery patients and performing primary care eye exams. She is also a longstanding member of both Indiana Optometry and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Manry enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Dr. Jonathan VanGessel, OD

OPTOMETRIST

Jonathan VanGessel, O.D. is originally from Avilla, IN and graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2019. Prior to receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree, he attended Indiana University Bloomington where he studied biology before becoming an early admit to the Indiana School of Optometry.  While attending optometry school, he served as the President of the American Optometric Student Association at IU, where he represented his classmates and colleagues at state and national AOA meetings. He was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, an optometric honor society, and the Gold Key Society, an optometric leadership and service honor society. Dr. VanGessel completed four externships which included the Quantico Naval Health Clinic, Eye Surgeons of Indiana, the Huntington West Virginia V.A. hospital, and another I.U. eye care center where he received specialized training in ocular disease, binocular vision, pediatrics, & specialty contact lenses.

Dr. VanGessel divides his time between providing postoperative care for cataract surgery patients and performing primary care eye exams. He is also a member of both the Indiana Optometry and the American Optometric Association.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing ice hockey, soccer, biking, and spending time with his friends and family.
